camera adapter / for galvanometer scanner heads / flange

The camera adapter allows for camera-based observation of a galvanometer scan head's working field. This function is suitable for applications like process monitoring or the determination of a workpiece's orientation during laser processing. The camera adapter needs to be installed directly in the beam path, between the scan head and the laser flange. Fast and easy mounting between the laser flange and the scan head is enabled by the adapter's mechanical interfaces. This lets it be easily integrated into existing or new systems.

Alternative orientations of the objective with the camera provide much installation flexibility. Light arriving from the workpiece is decoupled through the beam splitter of the adapter and is directed through the camera's objective onto its imaging chip which facilitates monitoring of the work surfaces. At the same time the laser beam passes without weakening through the splitter to the scan system, and these may be configured optically for different wavelengths.
