Description: The brightfield LED simply fits to the lamphouse connection of most modern microscopes, or may be used with standalone optics, to provide highly intense and even illumination with a constant colour temperature of 5500k. The light produced is intense enough to be used for contrast techniques such as DIC as well as conventional brightfield illumination. A flip in filter at 550nm reduces background fluorescence, when used in conjunction with fluorescence imaging.
The intensity is manually regulated. The Brightfield can be provided either with a stand alone power supply or controlled via the ProScan III controller, allowing it to be used with Prior XYZ automation. TTL connections allow extremely rapid switching on and off of the light in less than 140 microseconds, negating the need for shutters. Additionally, Nikon Ti users can integrate the Brightfield into their system via the LDBNHUB adapter.
