The SmartRunner Technology

With SmartRunner Matcher and SmartRunner Detector, Pepperl+Fuchs is presenting the first two sensors with the new SmartRunner technology. This combines the proven light section procedure for height profile acquisition with a 2D vision sensor. The devices are particularly compact and offer integrated evaluation with digital switching outputs, among other features. Consistently calibrated and preconfigured for solving a certain application, they can be put into operation in the same way as a simple sensor-using teach-in, and simultaneously represent the highest precision and performance.

Once a reference contour has been taught-in, the SmartRunner Matcher performs a profile comparison at the push of a button and emits a corresponding switching signal in case of deviation.

Taught-in on a fixed background, the SmartRunner Detector performs high-precision area monitoring and switches as soon as the smallest objects enter the field of detection.
