The dimension control 8260 for Ingot is a measuring system that inspects the surface of the bricks. It uses several laser line scanners for measuring side lengths, angles, phase lengths, planarity and diagonal surfaces of the side surfaces and it does it completely automatically.
The system is self-calibrating to the inserted brick size. All discrepancies from the targeted dimensions are thus guaranteed to be detected and can be marked. Unlike the manual inspection approach, this technique produces highly repeatable results.
The device can deal with ingot lengths of up to 2500 mm. It lets you perform a virtual reconstruction of the surface, and can be fitted with the integrated load cell. The defective places may be marked automatically or manually. This device increases the ingot yield.
