3D vision sensor / for object detection

The ScanningRuler from Sick is an adequate tool for 3D imaging in robot picking operations. It delivers an accurate and reliable 3D measurements of stagnant objects. The data gathered can be utilized to locate parts in different bin picking applications and to measure the suitable robot gripping position.

It contains a camera with a laser light source and generates 3D point cloud measurements in millimeters of the scene. The camera is also capable of enduring ambient light and configures easily.

This device is easy to install and operate. It is capable of generating 2D image of the scene to ease part identification. The ScanningRuler is linked to a PC using a Gigabit Ethernet. It has a compact design that operates harsh industrial environments.
