The SP Series SciCam, manufactured by EHD Imaging, generally includes a family of back-thinned FFT-CCD image sensors particularly devised for scientific applications involving low-light level detection. In addition, this series features a low-noise as well as low-dark current signal mechanism(MPP mode operation).

This machine functions by enabling low-light level detection and extended integration time, hence satisfying a vast dynamic range.
