The Plano-Convex Lenses, delicately manufactured by Altechna, are generally applicable for procedures involving focusing beams in telescopes, collimators, condenser systems, optical transceivers or any other procedure related to such. The PCX lenses may be up to 500mm in diameter. Also, upon customer request, the lens may be anti-reflection coated (refer to Coatings section).

These lenses are made from a material composition namely, BK7, FS, UVFS, CaF2, ZnSe, Si, Ge. In addition, these have a diameter tolerance of +0.0/-0.1 mm, whereas a thickness tolerance of ?0.1 mm with a clear aperture of >90%. Also, the focal length tolerance of the lenses is ?3%.
