plano-convex lens / spherical / fused silica / ultraviolet

Designed to meet the demanding requirements of ultrafast laser applications, Newport has designed an Ultrafast-optimized AR coating and applied it to our standard UV grade fused silica precision plano-convex lenses. These lenses are polished to tight tolerances using master test plates to ensure minimum wavefront distortion and then specially coated for with an AR coating designed for low GVD. UV grade fused silica is the material of choice to be used in high quality transmissive applications. And for high-energy applications, the extreme purity of fused silica eliminates microscopic defect sites that could lead to laser damage.
