Area of Application:
The Double Stream Mill, series PSKM is used for the production of surface layer flakes or wood flour from course material or middle layer flakes of wood or annual plants. The excellent flakes disitinguish themselves through a low percentage of fines and coarse material.

Method of operation:
The percut and dry feed material is centrally drawn into the grinding chamber via an inlet chute with integrated gravity sifter. The material is transported, in accordance with the double stream principle, axially in a cross flow through the turbulent zone, depending on the profiles of the grinding segments. Size reduction and preparation are performed in the airflow. The material is size reduced by means of repeated impact between the beater plates and the grinding segments. The screen mesh size and the different profiles of the grinding segments determine the desired fineness. The screen mesh size determines the end fineness.
