The Storm Brake or Rail Clamp is made up of stainless steel pins and bushed pivot joints. It has also a hood with sides flaps that covers the clamp system. Its clamp closes automatically when the power is lost.

The hand pump for emergency operation can be operated manually. A vertical and horizontal guiding system avoids tilting of the clamp carriage when clamp levers are opened. The rail height compensation ranges up to ?20 mm.

Storm brake for a truck assembly supports a large industrial device. This storm brake shoe pivotably mounted to the truck chassis. An actuator having an extendable linkage coupled to the storm brake shoe. It has an opposite end to a fixed mounting on the truck chassis.
