Madler V-Belts are made from Neopren with glass-fibre tensile members. With an approximate wedge angle of 36?, the belts are of width 'b' 9.7 mm, height 'h' 8 mm, width 'u' 4.2 mm and the smallest medium pulley diameter of 63 mm. The weight per metre is 0.074 kg. The V-belt needs to be pre-tensioned during mounting, and after 15 - 20 minutes of working time, re tightened. Standard V-belts have a short service life at a continuous temperature of over 60?. The standard V-belt is destroyed by oils, fats and chemicals and they must be kept away from them.
