The Walter Prototyp Paradur Eco CI is an HSS-E-PM machine tap which is utilized for blind and through hole threads. It is ideal for machining both short-chipping aluminum and cast iron.

Short chips are achieved due to the increased number of flutes and the low rake angle. The new Xtratreat surface treatment provides optimum wear resistance. The Paradur Eco CI has a graded TiCN multilayer coating for a long tool life and high cutting speeds. These in turn reduce the production costs per thread. When creating deep blind and through hole threads, versions can be supplied with axial or radial coolant exit to provide optimum chip transport.
