Precision chuck in highest material and processing quality. The classic clockmaking jaw chuck is especially suitable for light, precise work with low clamping forces in individual production, and for use on measuring instrumentation
Our JF chuck range was developed for clockmakers' requirements. The legacy of this tradition continues to live in our current core products. Using fine-tuning we have further improved both the precision and the service life of the classical clockmaker's chuck. Nowadays, as then, it is favoured by jewellers, precision engineers and clockmakers the whole world over for use on small lathes (such as those from Vector, Levin, Schaublin, Horia, Steiner, Bergeon, Boley, etc.). The standard series is produced at diameters of ? 55 mm up to ? 150 mm as a 3, 6 or 8-jaw chuck.
Thanks to the setup with base and top jaws (also reversible), a wide range of clamping segments can be inserted. The stage with soft chucks can be reworked in accordance with the relevant requirements. After this, the highest possible true-running accuracy is achieved. We offer hardened, base and reversible top jaws as a standard version or to your required dimensions for all 3, 6 and 8-jaw chucks of type JF.
If the JF chuck is greased, the spiral self-retention is still sufficient for loading during mechanical processing (without chuck key). The oiled version of the JF chuck is very popular for use on roundness, surface and gearing measuring machines as a particularly smooth jaw chuck.
