For swift and sound spot or seam welding of similar or compatible metals, LaserStar provides the 8000 series. Capable of producing air-tight welds, 8000 is equipped to handle high-precision applications such as production of medical implants, computer peripherals, aerospace components, batteries, sensors, and jewelry. It works remarkably with 300/400 series stainless steels, mild steels, and alloys of nickel, aluminum, titanium, and some noble metals. With a portable and easy to setup as well as operate design, 8000 series is often incorporated into automatic production lines with no or minimum operator intervention. The laser welding head employs a Nd:YAG pulse laser that can generate spots with single pulse and seams with multiple pulses at very high accuracy and speed. The speed of welding can be further improved using a fiber-coupled optical attachment.
