ESAB has been developing robot welding
equipment in cooperation with ABB since the
beginning of the 80s. The introduction of the
Arcitec software at the end of the 90s supported
an efficient communication between the robot
control pendant and the welding equipment.
Aristo W8 2
brings the cooperation a step further
as the add on unit can be mounted on the
standard Aristo Mig 5000i * and communicates
directly (DeviceNet) with the ABB robots IRB1600,
IRB1600ID, IRB2400L, IRB2600 and IRB2600ID
with IRC5 controller.
