ZA stationary cyclonic pre-separators are installed in front of the actual filter unit and pre-separate dry and free-flowing dusts. Middle-sized and coarse dust particles are separated ahead of time, so that only fine dusts are left to be filtered. Thanks to the low demand on the filter cartridges, operating costs are lower for the whole extraction system. The ZA series can also be used for pre-separating sparks to prevent the risk of a filter fire. ZA series cyclonic pre-separators achieve filtration efficiency of more than 90% with medium grain sizes of at least 150 microns.
