The SC404 is a capacitive level sensor that has an electronics module mounted in its enclosure. The enclosure of the unit is available in nylon and in aluminum. It is a 2-wire loop-powered model that provides an output which ranges from 4 mA up to 20 mA. Installation and calibration is attained with the use of a zero and span configuration.

The SC404 is a versatile level gauging unit that is ideal for use in a wide array of industrial processes and process various mediums such as fluids, powders, granules and pastes. The unit is made of 316-grade stainless steel rugged rods or 316-grade stainless steel wires. Coating the SC404 is necessary when it is going to be used with conductive media.
