Type 8103 is an individually calibrated and highly durable and corrosion resistant miniature hydrophone that is designed for a range of applications such as the acoustic study of marine animals or cavitation. It finds frequent use in laboratories and different industries as it is capable of calibrating reference standards, ultrasonic measurements in liquids and gases, underwater projection and noise measurements in humid and polluted atmospheres. It features a compact design with dimensions of 50 ? 9.5mm, 3 dB limit in air at 15 kHz, a double-shielded, low-noise integral cable and can operate in a frequency range from 0.1Hz to 180 kHz and withstand a maximum pressure of 9.8 ? 106 Pa.
