The PSSuniversal communication modules can be used to implement a wide range of applications. In combination with I/O modules from PSSuniversal they are used as remote I/O at field level and are the solution for tailor-made periphery expansion.

Connection to a higher level control system is via common industrial communication protocols. The Remote I/O function is available with the special modules PSSuniversal I/O also as part of the automation system PSS 4000.
