Omicron's IEDScout is a versatile working tool for IEC 61850 servers, and is an ideal tool for protection and substation automation engineers working with IEC 61850 devices. It has helpful functions such as testing, troubleshooting, commissioning and IED development. It also reads and writes information attributes to using the self description of the IED and generating SCL files from it. It identifies GOOSE messages on the network and regulates them. The IEDScout displays an overview illustrating the normal workflow of commissioning, but also provides specific information upon request.
