The GE MultiNet1000 is a managed redundant WAN router that is equipped with a 12-port serial port server. It is designed for use in tough environments such as power substations. This product meets the EMI/ESD protection standards and specifications of IEC 61850-3 and IEEE1613. It can operate at -40?C to +85?C with no fans or open vent holes. It supports single and dual power options. It supports IP routing services for both WAN and LAN applications. Each of its Ethernet ports has individual configurations for operating together with the integrated managed switch or as a discrete interface in routed mode. VLAN, physical and virtual interfaces are capable of IP routing. WAN interfaces are dual T1/E1 or dual DDS ports that utilize the integral CSU/DSU of the product to access the IP-based, TDM, frame relay or MPLS services.
