These type of melt pumps are used for extrusion and compounding processes.
Gear pumps reduce the shear of the medium and thus promote this extremely gentle. In particular, twin-screw extruder benefit from the use of a gear melt pump. Here, the extruder assumes his typical tasks such as homogenization and mixing of the molding material and the pump provides the necessary pressure build-up. Due to its design displacement pumps work very efficiency which increases the efficiency of the process and the system significantly.
