The FILMATIC N Modular winder is designed for optimum film roll quality, even with particularly difficult film materials. Utilizing a VSK roller (vacuum-cutover drum), the system forms consistently perpendicular film cutovers when changing rolls, while minimizing the occurrence of foldovers and scrap production. The VSK also allows operators to select the roll winding direction.

The winding systems is also equipped with two center drives that individually create accurate indexing tensions. A lay-on roll makes up for weight distribution in gap winding in order to create highly precise roll edges.

The FILMATIC N systems are offered in either automated, partially automated, or manual handling types. Different in-line slitting blades may also be selected.
