The KAHL belt units are utilized to dry and cool pellets without forming any cracks. Heat exchange between the product and air occurs due to convectional cooling. Water is removed from the product by evaporational cooling. It uses an efficient cross and counter-current principle.

The units are custom-made with a modular design which means that the size and process technology of the plant can be precisely altered to meet specific needs. The plant can also be subsequently extended.

Either recirculated air or ambient air which has a temperature up to 200?C can be used in the KAHL belt units, depending on the demands. Emissions and dust explosions are avoided due to the inert gas designs. The feeding device is altered according to the consistency of the pellets. A specific fabric tape can be supplied for pasty products.
