The electric cylinder operates through the use of a piston rod extension. The rod is regulated by a system with a recirculating ball screw. It has a guide strip to lessen the play with the barrel and vibration, while the ball screw rotates. Also, it has a connection interface based on ISO 15552.

The cylinder is integrated with a non-rotating system that has two contrasting slides. These slides function in different longitudinal slots in the barrel. The barrel is filled with longitudinal slots for housing sensors. The piston has greater outside diameter and thickness to provide resistance for radial loads.

Other accessories for pneumatic cylinders include an intermediate hinge. This tool can function better than stepping and brushless motors due to possible optimization.
