The MS38 is a positioner manufactured by Mechonics. The instrument is equipped with a piezo driven step motor with low hysteresis. The MS38 is capable of holding its reached position without current, with a step width of about 10nm, depending on the controller. The apparatus' positioning accuracy is better than 50nm, with velocity that can reach up to 1.2mm.
