This engine by John Deere delivers class leading responsiveness and performance. It is specially geared towards highway needs and the PowerTech PSS 4.5L, 6.8L, 9.0L, or 13.5L engines can complete any job with ease. They are able to handle steep slopes at high altitudes, while still delivering top-notch transient response and low speed torque.

Together with an optimized SCR system that is designed exclusively for off highway applications, and PowerTech Plus Technology, all the displacements of this engine are appointed with turbochargers unique to this series for increased responsiveness and performance.
