VARIODRIVE Compact VDC-3-49.15 K5 is an Ebm-papst product which is the first electronically commuted external rotor motor with integrated CAN open interface serving as a successful sine communicator and an open communication interface. It provides the prerequisite for flexible and efficient use in a wide range of fields of automation system. It can program different motion profiles and control them with speed, torques, and position. Its adaptation possibilities are further enhanced by its functionality and 3 digital inputs. It can release extremely compact high-performance drive systems in several configurations due to its multi-pole motor versions of the VDC-3-49.15, 250 mNm torque, and about a 100 W output of power. It also offers a straightforward and intuitive PC tool called "Kickstart" for commissioning and parameter programming of the drives as an accessory.
