Large Tip Tilt mechanisms are widely required in Optronics since they provide precise pointing for space

telecom transmissions. Commonly available mechanisms may be divided into two main categories. The first is

based on magnetic technology: these offer large range of motion and high speed, in rotation and translation.

Their stability is usually limited. The second category is based on ultrasonic motors: they provide good stability

but are limited by sub-micrometer stability.
