The UC Style Ceramic Hybrid Insert Bearings have an inner ring that goes on both sides of the bearing so that it can provide extra shaft support.

The unit would also have steel races with ceramic balls that are made from silicon nitride, which is a non-porous, non-magnetic, non-corrosive material and lighter but sturdier than steel. The balls are ideal for functions where high loads, high speeds and extreme temperatures are factors. Since it needs minimum lubrication, it lasts long, and virtually free from friction and are capable of spinning quicker than steel balls.
