Typical applications include dams and drilling yards for manufacturing shafts and tunnels. They are also used for launching gantries for making bridges from elements/beams of reinforced concrete/steel. The launching gantries can be of several types. They can either be of hanging elements/beams, placed elements/beams or for in-situ cast (self-progressing molds).

They are also suitable for Derrick cranes for making cable-stayed bridges from steel or reinforced concrete and for raising beams or beam segments. Another application is self-propelled flat beds or lowered trailers for moving elements or beams of steel/concrete. They also allow designing of other special equipment.
