melt flow indexer (MFI) for thermoplastics

MP1200 microprocessor is based on melt indexer and has its basic configuration. It is capable of performing gravimetric melt index determinations. It requires the operator to load weight onto the piston in the furnace.

The machine has a robust construction with a simple leveling system. It can easily handle the heaviest loading weights. The microprocessor based controller and timer maintains the barrel spatial temperature within +/- 0.1 oCalong. The MP1200 comes with different features which include a manual cutter and motorized cutter.

The motorized cutter is connected to the controller. It will cut the extrudate when the alarm goes off. The machine includes all the tools necessary to perform tests, except a balance will be required to weigh the cut-offs.
