The high accurate micrometer features a user-friendly design for accurate one-handed operation which enable even the inexperienced operators to perform significant measurements with high accuracy. The ratchet function works both from the thimble and the speeder. The thimble/speeder is rotated when the workpiece is between the anvil and spindle causing operation of the ratchet mechanism and applies a constant measuring force to the workpiece.

The clearly audible ratchet operation ensures a constant measurement in present force. The constant-force device works on a simple mechanism which neither requires parts maintenance nor special technique. The device features heat-insulated frame and carbide measuring faces.
