Material:
AlNiCo
AlNiCo is the earliest materials of permanent magnet. It is a kind of alloy which is mainly made of aluminum, nickel, cobalt, iron and other metal elements. AlNiCo is invented 1930s. At that time, it was widely used in permanent magnet motors because of good magnetic performance and low temperature coefficience. Ferrite and rare earth permanent magnet were invented afterwards, some of AlNiCo applications were replaced by Ferrite and rare earth magnets. AlNiCo can be divided into Sintered AlNiCo and Cast AlNiCo as per the production process. Casting process can produce AlNiCo with different sizes and shapes. Sintered AlNiCo is of smaller sizes with better tolerance, but lower magnetic properties.
Advantage: High remanence (max 1.35T), low temperature coefficience(-0.02%/?), max working temperature can be higher than 520?
Disavantage: Low coercive force (?160kA/m), demagnetization curve is nonlinear, it is magnetized easily, and can be demagnetized easily.
