Juaristi presents MP5RAM hydrostatic horizontal floor borer. Grey and nodular cast iron has been used for making all structural parts. It has all hydrostatic axes with big hardened and ground guides. Hydrostatic guiding has a non-interrupted oil film, which prevents direct contact. This significantly reduces the friction coefficient and facilitates exceptionally smooth movements. As a result, it ensures high precision, including in heavy-duty machines.

MP5RAM features 3 automatic compensation systems. These include column vertical position, headstock gravity centre and RAM bending. A rack-pinion system is included in the X axis. For backlash elimination, the axis includes 2 motors and 2 pinions. And a fixed ball screw with rotary nut is included in the Y axis. This can reach quick feed movements with no vibrations.

MP5RAM has large travels of X up to 40.000, Y up to 6.500, and Z+W up to 2600. It has a 100 kW spindle drive along with rotary tables with capacity of up to 125 tons. Thanks to all these features combined, the MP5RAM can machine large and complex workpieces.
