The SD17 simple canopy, fabricated from tough GRP, provides protection for open-air emergency-stop switches and other controls in processing plants. It protects against rain/snow, condensation and dust, as well as accidental impact. INTERTEC designed it at the request of a German refinery, which experienced a costly shutdown after a piece of falling scaffolding activated an emergency shut-off button.
