Through the high-contrast resolution and the intensive shadow formation of the LED Dark Field Illumination, defects and surface outlines appear as bright areas on a dark background. As Dark Field Lights work with pretty short working distances due to the very flat light rays, a fully closed Ring Light might not be possible. LED Dark Field Illumination is available for continuous or flash operation.
