The MBF Micro-Batch Feeder is used to continuously feed volumes of powdery or granular materials. It is comprised of a steel-reinforced SINT engineering polymer body (the body can be entirely manufactured in stainless steel if required), a feeder pipe which encloses the protuding feeder screw, a horizontally mounted rotating agitator tool with a feeder screw positioned underneath, and a drive unit for both the feeder screw and agitator.

Optimum body geometry can be established by tests on material stress and product flow. Before choosing an optimal steel and engineering SINT polymer composite, the materials and tool geometry of the agitator and feeder have also been tested. The MBF Micro-Batch Feeders are also available in food-grade versions which are FDA-approved.
