This roof cooling unit, which has been manufactured by MAHLE Industry, is a thermal system that has been developed to provide effective, and reliable quality performance specifically for diesel-hydraulic or electrical-power railroad vehicles. Its compact, and robust layout is constructed out of durable materials and has been designed to be placed either in the engine compartment, on the roof, or at the front end of the vehicles.

It is also available to be placed under the floor for rail coaches, and rapid trains. For electric powered railroad vehicles, it is an effective cooling system for the converter, traction motor, electronics, and transformers.
