Krones has developed Lavatec 2, designed to follow the single-end principle in which bottles are fed and released at the same side with limited harmful effects to the environment. The coarse contaminants are removed when the bottles are heated via the pre-cleaning system. The bottles are then exposed to caustic bath and post treatment zones to remove the dirt and eradicate remaining caustic residues.
