ProFlow Evolution ATx is one of the latest enclosed print head solutions in the ProFlow DirEKt Imaging product range from DEK. Ideally suited for SMT paste printing, ProFlow ATx brings greater stability to challenging SMT processes such as intrusive printing (pin in paste).

DEVELOPING THE TECHNOLOGY

Building on the foundation of existing ProFlow engineering, DEK process specialists have extended the system?s capabilities. Evolution has brought us to the point where integrating three DirEKt imaging variants focused at paste materials, alternative applications and ball placement offers us productivity tools to optimise processes as diversified as enzymes to solder spheres, raising the bar yet again for materials deposition technology.

Ongoing process engineering work has led to product improvements, with enhanced throughput rates, higher process yields, material saving and controlled handsfree operation. Enhancements include a rotating grid to constantly condition paste ensuring a consistent paste roll, automatic paste loading from industry standard cartridges, to profiled chambers and direct piston on material design for lower viscosity applications and solder ball delivery that can accommodate diameters between 0.25 to 1.00mm.
