In the Dosing Screw Type DFS, the bulk material enters the product inlet of the first screw and subsequently proceeds to the second screw. This is then transported to the screw outlet. The metering screw is activated and begins to rotate and pick up product, carrying it at uniform bulk and speed to the screw outlet.
The drive frequency control varies from coarse to fine metering in operations involving weighing and metering. As a result of this, the metering screw speed is also reduced. The pneumatic-operated shut off valve shuts off the screw outlet when the set weight is reached.
