The Edwards GV stainless steel sealed gate valve series is made for applications that need leak tightness controls and less hydrocarbon in the atmosphere residual. This valve works with a strong vacuum setup that with the highest conductance. These stainless steel valves are vacuum-brazed. This means they are baked out at 1100 degrees Celsius. This unique step is to keep leaks from occurring while preventing outgassing. Also, the laser-welded stainless steel bellows will seal the actuator from a valve. This simplifies servicing, allowing removal of the gate and link mechanism without having to remove the valve.
