These function boxes, made of brass have II 2G EEx de IIC T6 explosion protection. They are of one zone. The junction boxes have received PTB 03 ATEX 1157 certification. Ingress Protection is ensured with IP 56. The temperature range is -55?C to +65?C. The rates insulation voltage is maximum 750V. Bemessungsbetriebsstrom is maximum 690 V. The rated normal current is up to 16A. The rated impulse withstand voltage is max. 6 kV. The utilization category for 16A / 690V is AC 1, 8A / 500V its AC 3, 4A / 690V is AC 3 and 16A / 415V is AC 15. The rated connected capacity for fine wire is 1.5 to 2.5 mm? and for single wire it is 1.5 to 4 mm?. The switch is of the 2-pole variety with on/off facility. The function boxes come in different variations. There are three of four cable glands.
