Slip rings for from Moog are indispensable for wind turbines as they assist in proper functioning by providing reliable data and power transmission from nacelle to the control system. These slip rings are cost-effective, highly-efficient and remain maintenance-free for about 100 million revolutions of the turbine.

Moog?s WP7171 unit provides direct connection to the gearbox with wire terminal connections in both the stator and rotor junction boxes. They require no regular inspections and lubrication and can operate efficiently at wide operating temperatures ranging from -40?C to +80?C. It is equipped with a heater for cold weather installations.
