The SL1122 series is integrated with Alpha Gas Plasma tube and Silicon Avalanche Diode (SAD). Both tools are matched, which results to the clamping by the SAD. The current increases, and the transient power is switched in the gas tube.

The device offers maximum levels of performance, based on the quick rise of transients in the range of 100V/?S to 10 KV/?S. As a result, it reduces the dv/dt switching, which are displayed by the basic GDT's. These tools can divert a pulse of 10,000 A, without any destruction.
