The Kaplan Turbine is a hydro-turbine manufactured by Kirloskar Brothers Limited. Specifically suitable for areas with low head and high discharge, it features a unit output reaching up to 20 MW and a head measuring up to 60m. The turbine can be used in different applications including the small hydro-electric projects and the canal based projects.
