Fanox T&D SIA-C overcurrent & earth fault protection relay has 50P, 50N, 51P y 51N protection functions. The self-powered relay starts up from 0.2 times the rated current of single phase. An external battery can be supplied temporarily. The relay is available in two sizes, which simplifies installation.

It eliminates the installation and maintenance of batteries, resulting in lower operating cost of the centre. It provides an optional event recording feature, and has a specific test menu. It features excellent electromagnetic compatibility. The line opening is activated by either a striker or a coil using an external trip adapter. Even if the relay supply is lost, it indicates the trip cause using bistable magnetic indicators.

SIA-C allows setting and monitoring of parameters through a LCD screen. It employs standard 5 A or 1 A current transformers. On the front, it has RS232 serial port and optional RS485 port on the rear. Both ports use ModBus RTU protocol.
