The Appleton? Switched Receptacle (ASR) is available in 30 and 60A units that prevent electrical arcing in heavy-duty applications in harsh environmental conditions. Dead front design ensures that the receptacle is not energized until the plug has been fully inserted and the switch is fully engaged, locking the plug into place. The switch can be padlocked in its off position to ensure extra safety.

ASR is available in fused and non-fused options with silicon gaskets and self-cleaning contacts driven by a solid bridge bar to help prevent the single phasing of motors. These are ideal for use in welders, generators, shipyards and applications that require safe, weatherproof and corrosion resistant connections.
