The I-V 400 is manufactured by HT Instruments, and is a pv tester that is suitable for the ordinary and schedules maintenance of photovoltaic systems. It is extremely rapid, efficient and intuitive searching for possible failures and problems in systems.

The unit has a measurement of voltage rating from module/string up to 1000 V DC, and has current rating from module/string up to 10 A DC. It has a measurement temperature, in either automatic or via probe PT1000. It can measure resistance of photovoltaic module series, and has 4-terminal measuring method.

There is a management of up to 30 types of modules in the internal database, and has internal memory for data saving. It also has optical/USB port for PC connection.
